Location: City of Bethlehem Police Department Range, 2450 Riverside Drive, Hellertown, PA 18055

Time: 9am - 5pm

This is specifically designed and intended for the law enforcement officer using a duty grade handgun and a level 2 or 3 holster. It is structured to exercise all the component skills in a logical building block method. It’s fast-paced and aggressive, using multiple shooter against shooter drills and extensive use of steel targetry from instant feedback, and thereby instant corrections. Exercises will include, but not be limited to: draw, multi-target engagement, shooting on the move, reloads and malfunction clearance: freestyle, strong-hand only and support-hand only.

Unrealistic postures, pre-aligned body position, no movement and timers set on consistent 3 second delay are unrealistic. Those predictable artificialities lend themselves to skills that are only repeatable under controlled range conditions. This course will integrate realistic movements in every course of fire that require aggressive and precise body alignment. This methodology facilitates speed from holster to precise and effective shot delivery. The course will have extremely aggressive shooting requirements that address those training concerns. *Those working concealment must bring three distinctly different garments at a minimum.

*Every shot requires a turn, movement, or both.

*Course will have same standards for L3 duty rig with closed top pouches or concealment

*Speed and standards will be built around uncompensated guns with RDS and no WM-light on concealment guns. All guns are acceptable, but the intention is to remove the equipment benefits to emphasize the techniques.

*No poised and unnatural range or USPSA/IPSC postured stances will be utilized or allowed. Officers will be required to stand like they do in their day-to-day life and duties. Stances and postures will often be dictated in the drill.
